On the cusp of 50

A fun writing prompt about gratitude. What we focus on grows. An opportunity to create more abundance in your life through gratitude.
When your adult children still call (by choice — not guilt)…boy am I grateful. (Image design on Canva)

Her son still calls
her home has walls
Amazon means no more schleps to malls!

A job she enjoys
the mom of two older boys
(long past tripping over Lego toys)

Lungs that work
hips that can still twerk
no more hormones (that made her berserk)

Love that flows to you and me
(like a flower to a bee)
Knowing this Universe is a family
interconnected (always) are we

A big shoutout of gratitude to the talented Jason Edmunds for creating this fun writing challenge. You can read the powerful Ode to Nature piece Jason Edmunds wrote here:

I’m writing this with a splint on my right wrist, as the cusp of fifty (for me) is tendonitis of my right hand. And yet, I’m grateful that I have a splint available to use; I’m grateful…
