A 15 Word Challenge

A fun writing challenge where words are “passed” to the next writer to create one hot story!

Remember that fun childhood game, hot potato? When Martha Lueck shared her creative idea of the 15 word challenge, I immediately thought of the classic we-are-all-in-this-together game. Here’s Martha’s challenge:

I selected #3 to add my 15 words.

# 3: Drew was a soccer coach. He inspired his son Jamie to play soccer in school.

Drew, however, did not understand how inspiration could so quickly turn to tragedy. And guilt.

Why Hot Potato Writing

Writing in general is creative, but when you are dependent on the person before you for the next piece (the potato), it will affect your words. There’s a beautiful synergy potential with this 15 word story add on, and knowing we are limited to a specific number of words only adds to the sizzle.
